About Me
I'm Tom Langridge, an entrepreneur who went from neuroscience at UC Davis to co-founding MediaFire.com, a top file-sharing platform. I also launched IntoMobile, led design for FileFront.com (acquired), and co-founded Fast.io to innovate team cloud storage.
Based in Austin, I build products that solve real problems, combining scientific thinking with user-centered design for millions. I build in public, sharing successes and failures.
My Journey
From neuroscience to founding tech companies, here's my professional path and key milestones.
Activities and societies: Alpha Kappa Psi, EMRAP, SPAC. Studied neuroscience and human physiology, building a foundation in scientific thinking and research methodologies.
Co-founded the most trafficked news blog covering mobile phones and technology with 3.5+ million unique visitors per month. Helped pivot business strategy and created multiple UX designs including WordPress templates and custom database pages.
Oversee all MediaFire product development efforts, helping grow the service from launch to one of the top 100 websites in the world. Roles include lead UX designer, product development, business development, and corporate communications.
Led a full-site redesign for the relaunch of FileFront.com (now GameFront.com) after it was reacquired from ZiffDavis by its original founders. The redesign helped return the property to profitability, later resulting in its acquisition by BreakMedia.
Building a radical rethinking of cloud storage for teams. Fast.io replaces individual-centric folders with project-based Workspaces, simplifying security and leveraging AI to extract metadata, generate summaries, and structure content for intelligent accessibility.
